IPL Second round players auction:

In the second round of IPL auction, Australian all rounder James Hopes was bought by Mohali and his mate Shane Watson was snapped up by the Jaipur team. England all-rounder Dmitri Mascarenhas, South African speedster Mornie Morkel and Pakistani middle-order bat Misbah-ul-Haq and his team mate Sohail Tanvir were also went under hammer.

Ashwell Prince of South Africa, New Zealand one-day specialist Kyle Mills and his mate Ross Taylor and Pakistan openers Salman Butt and Mohammad Hafiz were the others who were bought in the second round of auctions that also saw all sixteen players from India's victorious U-19 team go under the hammer.

The U-19 skipper Virat Kohli was picked up by Bangalore Royal Challengers in the auctions which would see the junior players being allocated to the franchisees on a draft format that
allows them to pick up numbers one to eight. Thereafter, the franchisee who picks up number one would get number nine while number ten would go along with number two and so on.
